Why burn the US Flag?

Burning flags, with ceremony, is called retiring American flags when they are ripped or torn or simply ragged, this ceremony is performed by the Boy Scouts of America as a sign of respect to the flag.

Without ceremony, it is usually an act of rebellion and/or disrespect to the country or organization that the flag represents.

There is only one reason to burn a U.S. flag. That is when the flag is being retired and burning it is done in a respectable manner. Other than that, there is no acceptable reason to burn the flag.

Becouse it is disrespectful to those who fight and die for the flag.

It also went all the way to Supreme Court in Texas v. Johnson.

When Johnson burned the flag, the villagers chanted red white and blue we spit on you.
