Likely because he'/she is not on your mailing list. One way of adding friends is to invite them through face book on your external mailing list "find friends" option or if they are on face book already, for them to invite you. You then get an email with the fact that the friend has accepted your invitation, or you respond by accepting his/her invitation. Trust this answer helps.. It always has to happen through face book..

∙ 13y agoWhen you add someone as a sibling they have to accept it first. If they don't accept it won't let you add them. Try telling them before you add them. Then maybe they will accept it.
