You've done something wrong if you can't see the pictures. First, the pictures have to be in the correct format for Windows Movie Maker:
.bmp, .dib, .emf, .gif, .jfif, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .tif, .tiff,.wmf
Then you must make sure they are Imported properly and visible in your Imported Media Viewing pane. Drag them down into the Storyboard or Time-line View. Press Play in the Preview pane to see the results.
Do you have Red X's through the pictures on the Time-line?
If you have Red X's through the media (or can't see the media once Published/Finished/Exported), then the Original Source files used to create the project have been moved, changed or deleted and Windows Movie Maker can no longer locate the media.
Just remember, you cannot move, change, rename, delete any files used in your Windows Movie Maker project BEFORE Publishing/Finishing the movie. Once you have Published/Finished the project, you can do whatever you want with files used in the project... BUT NOT BEFOREHAND.
You can't download Windows Live Movie Maker because the program only supports Vista Operating Systems... Not Windows Xp.
I HAVE NO IDEA i have been looking forever i cant find one!!

That's because the file is not compatible with Windows Movie Maker. Anime is flash-formatted and can't be used in Windows Movie Maker unless converted first.
you cant
you cant do it for free but you can get it from a chinese website.
you cant
Try publishing or finishing the video to your computer instead of saving the project file. If that doesn't work, you may need to do some computer maintenance, such as Defrag and Disk Cleanup. Maintenance such as this helps your computer (and it's programs) run smoother. If you still can't get your Windows Movie Maker to work properly for you, download and install it again. Free Windows Movie Maker versions are available on the Internet. Google it. Make sure you download the version for your system.
If you can't close Windows Movie Maker on your computer, this is what you do:> Click Ctrl+Alt+Delete> Click on Start Task Manager> Under Applications tab, click on Windows Movie Maker and press End Task> If Windows Movie Maker is not in that list, click on the Processes tab> Click on Show Processes for all users> Scroll down to MOVIEMK.exe and press End ProcessThe program will close. This procedure can be used for any programs you can't close down manually (and those found running behind Windows).

If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again. wht do i do
When you record something with Action! the video screen program, the avi video is either not processed or somthing becouse windows movie maker has to convert it which glitches out and never does so i cant edit the video.
Download Audacity - it's a free open source sound recorder. Then go to Youtube and find a fight sequence from a film and record by pressing the record button in Audacity. Play back the file and crop it to the length and sound you want, then save it and export as a WAV file. You can then import it into Windows Movie Maker.
