The same reason they can't anywhere. children are not mature enough to understand politics or the repercussions of a poor vote. They are also quite dependent on their parents' opinions, and would be easily convinced to vote for a party or official simply because "mother/father told me to".

∙ 15y agoThe constitution prevents it. The constitution states that the President of the United States must be at least 35 years old before they can hold office. This is in place to make sure that there are no inexperienced people put into office.
