The alarm is cutting off power to ignition and/or starter. Possibly faulty alarm. Disconnect the alarm and try again.
first you cut the power wire to the alarm which should be connected to the battery and then you disconnect the battery fo at least 10 minutes
your car should still start, regardless of the alarm It depends on the alarm, some can cause a no start.
be carefull, removing the aftermarket module can make the car not start, as they may have tapped into the ignition circuit.... check all the WIRING going to their alarm module, and see if they have changed any of the original harness... good luck :)
Unplug positive battery post after locking both doors. wait a minute and the unlock the passenger and then start the car within 10 seconds of unlocking it. thats what i did, and it worked
Yes you can undo the false alarm after you start the ignition.
Pull negative batt. cable.Put key to "start" position for 15 secondsReattatch negative batt. cableThis resets the PCM and only works on some Dakota's. Some have an alarm, some have a "security" system.
The vehicle battery is located below the trunk floor. Jump-start positive and negative posts are located under the hood on the driver's side of the vehicle
