All meditation techniques share one thing in common: they all emphasize the growth of awareness. They bring one's attention to the witnessing consciousness which lies beyond mind, feeling, and body.
Because meditation is concerned with that which lies beyond mind (and therefore ideas, thoughts, and ideologies) it can be used by anyone with any set of beliefs. A Buddhist can watch her thoughts about Buddhism float through the mind. A Jew can notice his thoughts about the Old Testament. A Wiccan can sit silently, unmoving, as thoughts of the solstice pass through.
Meditation teaches that *all* of these thoughts are simply mind-stuff. And that the light of awareness lies beyond them. And -- this light is the *same* light for all of us.
Thus all of the great mystics have proclaimed, "we are one."
most filipinos are catholic, so for those who fall under that category theygo to mass and fast on lent. there are also muslims, buddhists and other religious groups. there are also wiccans and animists.
Buddhists are not a country or a nation. As a consequence they have no more military organization than the Southern Baptist Church or the Wiccans. As to whether Buddhists serve in the military, this is an individual choice in countries which do not have compulsory service (draft). The American military has a gravestone marker symbol for Buddhists so it must anticipate that some are serving in its military.
Buddhists Hindus and Many Wiccans believe that when they are dead, they will be re born. They also believe that what they have done comes back as Karma. Some Wiccans also believe that when they are dead they go to a different plane (like a parellel world) called Summer Land. Buddhists believe that, a person who has understood the cycle of rebirth and given up the desire to be born again attains Nirvana so that he is not born again after the death. Everything about a person who has attained Nirvana ends with his death.
Psychic development, dream interpretations, and visions are all practices that are encouraged within Wicca for practitioners to learn. Of course this is a personal choice to follow through with these practices, Wiccans are encouraged to learn the scientific elements of these topics as well as the metaphysical side to them. Many Wiccans, and people in general, believe that through visions and dreams one can heal the mind, body and soul by interpreting the dreams and visions as well as help others in their healing and bring balance to their lives.
I'm one, so yes, there are Wiccans in the world.
AREN helps Wiccans realize their true potential in conjuring spells. It allows Wiccans a sort of guide to different spells and such that they may utilize.
No, Satan is an entity in the Christian faith. Wicca predates Christianity. The idea of wiccans of witchs being associated with Satan or black magick comes from a certain group of wiccans who wanted to change the religion into how they wanted it. The magick they performed was very dark, this made it alot more noticeable. So from one group it spread to more evil people wanting to perform black magic. Soon the christians saw all wiccans as evil and burnt any to death. This is why witches/wiccans are seemed as evil. I added a comment below, read it please.
There is no single diet followed by all Wiccans. Some Wiccans are vegetarians or vegans while other Wiccans enjoy meat without any special concern.
No, they don't. I follow it, and a lot of Wiccans do, but there is absolutely no way we all do.
You can do any spell you wish; however, most wiccans are into good/white magick.
Lucifer is a fallen angel found in the Abrahamic religions. Wiccans are a branch of Paganism. Pagans do not follow the Abrahamic teachings and do not even believe in the existence of Lucifer. Therefore, Wiccans do not worship Lucifer.
Most Dianic Wiccans worship the Goddess only, acknowledging that She is the source of all living and contains all within Her.
