Ethics can be a very elastic thing for some people. Don't compromise yours. Whistle-blowers often get punished, but you still feel better doing the right thing.

When the business world focuses on greed and making the highest profit it can become immoral. By treating employers and customers right, the business world can be more moral.

There is this thought or feeling that, 'for whatever the reason' comes over people and causes them/us to do or just think of doing what is wrong! There has to be, "A law of the land" to keep people on or doing the right thing. The same principle applies to business. In the developing world, people spend their money on food, business, housing, other in that order. In the developed world, people spend their money on other, housing, business, food in that order. In the developing world, "business" really means expenditures on what it takes to grow food. In the developed world, "business" means professional clothing, education, professional dues, etc, i.e. expenditures associated with earning money. Other for the developing world means clothes, appliances, entertainment. Other for the developed world includes clothes, appliances, entertainment, but also includes iPads, ice cream and iTunes. The simple fact that these four categories are reversed between the developing world and the developed world should give the person asking the question pause to possibly refine their question.
