As you get further along, you have 40% more blood flowing in your body which is the main reason why you might hear your heartbeat more, and even feel it pumping.

It really depends on you. If you are a more slender woman that yes, chances are you will be able to hear the baby's heart beat. No its not too early, but sometimes you cant really see anything more than the sac that surrounds the fetus. The baby is to small. But it has a heartbeat, although you may not hear it. And it doesnt "look" like a baby yet. But its a baby. Around 9 weeks, the baby will look like a miniature baby, tho. And around 10-11 weeks your doctor can probably find the heartbeat with a doppler.
