There are two different systems for sending the telephone number of the calling party down the line to the destination. One is Caller ID, which is suppressed by dialing *67 (or equivalently 1167) in North America (USA, Canada, etc.). The other is a system called Automatic Number Identification or ANI. You cannot suppress delivery of your ANI. If you call a toll-free number, or in certain other cases, your ANI may be delivered in real time to the company you are calling.
You should dial *67 and then dial the phone number.
I guess that you talking about the phone number prefix. its ussually the first 3 digits of the phone number for exampls: If you have a phone number in NJ the first 3 digits would be (609) If you live in a different country, theres always a 3 number digit you would dial in the beginning of a phone number Hope that will help...
The 406-702 prefix is in Billings, Montana. The primary telephone companies for that prefix are Verizon Wireless and Bresnan Broadband. However, with number portability, a particular number could now be served by any local operator, and a cell phone number could have been ported to a landline or vice-versa.
Mobile phone prefix codes are irrelevant - since it's now possible to change your service provider and retain your number. For example, someone on t-mobile could change to orange and take their number with them - making the prefix irrelevant !
The (870) 904 prefix is primarily assigned to Verizon Wireless in Magnolia, Arkansas. However, with number portability, a number in that prefix could be served by any phone company (landline or cellular or other) that operates in Magnolia, AR.
A standard American phone number consists of three parts. An area code, a prefix, and a suffix. In the following phone number: (987) 654-3211, the 654 would be the prefix.
