I rarely see a computer fail completely. The fact is that a computer is a collection of devices all working together to perform the tasks you assign.
Computers have several critical hardware components:
*A graphics card is not absolutely essential for a computer's operation as the CPU can perform the same tasks however some monitors' minimum resolutions are too large for the CPU to handle and require a dedicated graphics card or an integrated graphics chip.
The failure of any of these devices can cause the computer to shutdown (perhaps even permanently).
In the event of a hardware failure the failed component must either be repaired or replaced. It should be noted however that computer's don't always fail due to hardware failures, sometimes the software can cause failures. Software failures can be anything from a simple driver malfunction to the loss of the computers master file table. In the event of a software failure, you can still recover your computer simply by reformating the drive and reinstalling the operating system. If you use the windows platform you can try booting up in safe mode by pressing F8 at the startup screen and then using system restore to restore your computer to a state before it failed. Please note that in most cases you will be able to recover your data in the event of a software failure. In order to recover the data you can use a live disk (assuming your computer has a CD/DVD drive) to boot up your computer and then copy the data. More complicated options are also available but i'd rather not discuss them as they are not within the scope of this question.
You should also note that sometimes the computers hardware can fail for an instant (probably a stray electron :) ), this will cause a system crash and thus force you to restart the system.
There is always the possibility that the system shut it self down to protect itself and didn't actually have any failure of any kind. This could be the result of overheating due to dust build up or a power irregularity.
It sometime fail because the computer need the people to put the answer or need people to control them. The reason why it fail, it is because the owner put wrongly
Because it is only made by man...There's no creature on earth that cannot fail...All of us fails...Also, machines have their failures because they are not made perfectly...
..?..
because it cant think wat can people can did ..and sometimes only people can answer wat a computer only does ..it cant answer corectly if a user didnt help ..
computer sometimes fail due to CMOS (complementary metal oxide. semiconductor) settings.
They did sometimes and sometimes they failed!
Only sometimes.
Pcm internal failure. The engine computer has failed a self test. The computer may need replaced.Pcm internal failure. The engine computer has failed a self test. The computer may need replaced.
Possible causes include a failed cam sensor, broken wiring, broken timing belt, failed computer.Possible causes include a failed cam sensor, broken wiring, broken timing belt, failed computer.
my 1997 grand marquis failed inspection due to the computer would not allow their machines to read the cars computer
throw the computer out the window
There could be any number of reasons why a computer won't turn on:1. The computer is not plugged in (if a desktop)2. The battery is dead (if a laptop)3. The power supply has failed.4. The motherboard has failed.5. The surge suppressor / UPS that the computer is plugged into has failed.6. The power switch is broken7. You are pushing the wrong button.
A failed coolant sensor, failed wiring, or a failed computer.
It can sometimes be caused by a failed alternator.
loose connection, or failed drive.
Connect the hard drive from the failed computer to another computer and backup all your stuff.
