Red is the least scatterable colour .Because if you take a spectrum of white light red has the highest frequency among the other 6 colours (ie Violet,Indigo,Blue,Green,Yellow,Orange). This is the reason why red colour is used for danger lights as it travels more distance than other colours without being scattered
Red is the recognised colour for danger.. like poisionous insects are usually red, and caution signs are usually red.. therefore it's stop green is the most opposite colour to red.. therefore it's go and orange/amber is kinda in between i spose..
purple-redish-blueish need more acuracy plz :)
"Traffic lights are the colors just so so deal with it" actually they implimented this because normally red would equal danger and green equals "all set" "ready", just like fire is hot.
If the light is or contains the colour the object it is striking, then the object will appear to be the colour it originally is. If the light is not or does not contain the colour the object it is striking, then object will appear black. This is because an object will only reflect the light that is the same colour as it, all other light is absorbed. For example: Red, yellow, magenta, and white light will make a red object appear red as they all contain red light. Blue, green and cyan light will make a red object appear black.
white is the colour which we can see from the maximum distance and red is a alert signal or danger signal and has good reflections also.
There are couple reasons I think. One is purely physical. Red color has the lowest absorption coefficient out of colors of the visible spectra. Also our eyes are sensitive to red which the result of both low absorption and our brain work.
We humans find the colour red a warning because our instinct tells us to. The reason for this is because it's the colour of blood. This still remained from the time we were hunters.
red
red light has a longer wavelength so it does not get scattered easily and can cover a long distance thus reaching a far observer in case of a traffic signal or as a danger signal.
Probably because they are the same colours as fire. Fire can be scary and dangerous. Red is also the colour for STOP (traffic lights) think about every day life, red usually means NO, while green means go/yes. Red colours trigger a negative or reserved response in the brain, thus giving danger it's main colour; red.
Red
because human eye is sensitive to yellow and green, it has become a tradition to use red as a signal for caution also red colour has largest longest wavelength
Satanic Red
red
maybe red because that sometimes shows danger
Red lights are often used to symbolize caution, danger, or a stop signal. They are commonly associated with traffic signals, where they indicate that vehicles must come to a full stop. In other contexts, red lights can also represent alarm, warning, or a need for immediate attention.
