Amelia Earhart was the first woman to fly across the Atlantic solo.
And she was a great role model to all other women. Her message was that you can do anything if you put your mind and heart to it. its also because when she flew over the Atlantic Ocean, her plane had run out of fuel. she had kept calling for help and no one would answer. some people say that she crashed and sank in the ocean, others say they found her bones on an island. but to this day no one really knows. (i know becuase i had to do a report on her)
She went down in history because she risked her life to do what all women can do not just men.
It has been 75 years since Amelia went down, so she went down in 1937.
Amelia Earhart flew across the atlantic ocean solo in plane called the friendship she started out in Boston and touched down in London.
Nobody ever found out
Might I direct you to this answer.
It is Amelia Mary Earhart, not what you spelled. this is her full name prior to getting hitched up ( in both senses!) a misguided coupling- with George Putnam- yes the publishing family. seems to be a dominant, more or less Phil Spector type conning up bizarre schemes for Veronica- err Amelia. i would be fun if you crossed the plot lines, Amy goes down for the count, but Ronnie- well powers on to Be My Baby!
In the middle of the Pacific Ocean, somewhere near Howland Island.
There was now written down food but there is said that she was a lover of cheesecake.
Assuming she went down in the water and not an island, her body is somewhere in the Pacific Ocean.
She died in the Magnetic fields she got pulled down in the ocean.
Amelia Earhart was a real tomboy! She shot rats with a 22. rifle, belly slammed her sled in the snow to make it go down hill and she loved rollercoasters! She never wore the uniforms pilots had to wear. She wore whatever she wanted.
lol she and her plane went missing mostr think she was shot down by japanese
The main type of adversity that Amelia Earhart was forced to deal with was having to overcome the fact that she was treated differently, and looked down upon because she was a woman. She set off on her journey anyway, and became a hero due to her determination.
She was the first woman pilot to ever try and travel around the world. Earhart went down somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean. Probably in the Bermuda Triangle.
No, she did not. There was not enough fuel to get that far. They apparently came down about 300 miles north west of Nikimaroro
I have read several books about Amelia Earhart and her flights and have never even heard this suggested. the possibility of abduction after a forced-down or crash landing- yes, possibly by Japanese military men, but I have never heard the (Hijack) idea even put forward as a theory.
Ok here's what happened to Amelia Earhart people say she crashed in the pacific that's true but here is the story behind that. Amelia Earhart was sent on a mission to fly across the pacific. She didn't want to turn that chance down so she toke it. She was an amazing flier also Amelia Earhart had a navigator named Fred Noonan. Amelia Earhart had a piece of paper Fred Noonan wrote on and it said to fly left but she taught it was wrong so she flew right. After a while she knew it was wrong. Ok why she crashed is because she didn't want any extra weight on the plane so she barley filled the gas tank half way and that is how she crashed.
Some people believe that Amelia Mary Earhart crashed in Nikumaroro with her navigator Fred Noonan. There has been reports of finding objects that may of belonged to Amelia on Nikimaroro. Some believe that there might be parts of Amelias Electra deep down in the ocean near Nikumaroro. But no one know for sure.
Amelia Earhart was the first woman to fly across the Atlantic and Pacific oceans solo. She also won many aviation trophies and set many records. During an attempt to circumnavigate the earth, AE's plane went down somewhere in the South Pacific and the whereabouts of the plane and her body are still unknown. Some believe that they have just found her bones on some small island. See the Earhart link to the right for more information. Note that Amelia "Earhart" is a common but incorrect spelling. Amelia used to work at a amusement park, she built roller coasters \
Her biography doesn’t give that information about her. Most likely she died when her plane went down and it is good there were no children.
The most accurate answer would probally be, because they saw plane debris in the ocean near the spot she crashed.
Amelia Earhart (1897-1937?) was the first woman to fly across the Atlantic ocean solo. On an attempt to fly around the world, her plane went down in the Pacific Ocean and the whereabouts of her body (and that of her navigator Fred Noonan) are still unknown. Some believe that they have found her bones on a small atoll called Nikumaroro (Gardner Island) near Tuvalu. See the Earhart related link for more info.
Batteries in this context are a size of anti aircraft unit.(Battery is also used as a size of artillery unit about the same as a company - different country forces have different size structures for their defensive forces.
Amelia Earhart was involved in a variety of unusual activities- some not related at all to Aviation, such as fashion design, luggage marketing, some with borderline applications- she was down on a submarine once and locked-out in a diving suit.-but I am not aware of this one. she went missing in the Pacific islands but never went there for fishing, to my knowledge.
Friday 2nd July , 1937 was the last contact from Earhart before se disappeared. One of her last messages sent by Earhart at 12:30pm said that fuel for the plane was runing low, so it is assumed that the crash occurred before July 3rd.
