Other nations are more homogeneous and as a consequence don't have the variety of foods, music, traditions ( the Christmas tree is from Germany. Halloween pumpkins began in Ireland) and the only true people who aren't immigrants is Native Americans. Many of our industrialists and inventors were immigrants and Jackson's parents were Irish immigrants. This is truly a melting pot of people and we are very lucky because of it.
