It was popularly believed that there was one Survivor from the cellar in Yekaterinburg when the Romanov family were killed in 1918 - the fourth daughter, Grand Duchess Anastasia. A woman, arguably Anastasia, appeared out of nowhere and provided sufficient doubt to the argument that she may have been Anastasia. Her claim was neither proven beyond doubt, or disproven convincingly. The Russian royal family in exile were not convinced, although at least two of them showed interest. (Anastasia by Peter Kurth 1983). More recently, excavations in present day Russia have revealed what we are told are the remains of all of the Romanov family, all members accounted for by DNA testing.

What was the Romanov's monarchy?

The House of Romanov, or Romanov dynasty, was the ruling house ( family) of Czarist Russia from l6l3-l9l7. Properly Anastasia Romanov should be styled, her Imperial Highness, (or Highness) Anastasia Nicolaievna ( Anastasia the daughter of Nicolai ( Nicholas of course) Nicolai is also a Russian surname.(so is Nichols in the US) In a sense to refer to AR as ( Anastasia Romanov) is as bad a breach of protocol as referring to the current Windsor monarch as ( Betty Windsor). That:s Her Majesty, Elizabeth II. By the way observe the following: Bourbon, Windsor, Kennedy, Romanov, Four ruling houses, all having their ups and downs, and all have seven letters and can be found in Liquor stores! There were jokes in the twenties that the root cause of the Diaspora ( in l922) was - a fifth of Romanov, Yes a Fifth of Romanov named Stacy.

Was Larissa Tudor the Grand Duchess Tatiana Romanov?

Possibly, I believe that Anastasia Romanov did escape and lived a long and happy life. So I think it's possible that Tatiana lived too. R.I.P. The Romanov Family, a true loss <3

What family names were Russian royalty?

All go from youngest to oldest [ I do not know how old they were when they were slaughtered] Alexei Romanov [ Tsarvich ], Anastasia Romanov[ The one rumored to have survived], Marie [ Or Maria, I'm not entirely sure] , Tatiana Romanov, Olga Romanov. I'm not sure if Nikolai [ or Nicholas, not sure either] of Alexandra [ or Alexandria] was older, so I'll just list them. Alexandra Romanov [ Tsarina ], Nikolai Romanov [ Tsar ]. And there you go.

In real life did Anastasia Romanov have a put-On Bostonian accent?

There is no evidence to suggest that Anastasia Romanov, the Grand Duchess of Russia, had a distinct Bostonian accent in real life. She would have been more likely to speak with a European accent, reflecting her Russian heritage and upbringing.

Is St Anastasia the same person as Anastasia Romanov?

No, not at all. Saint Anastasia is a Roman Catholic Saint and a Martyr who died at Sirmium, which is located in modern day Serbia. In the Eastern Orthodox Church she is recognised as the Great Martyr Anastasia, the Deliverer from Potions. She is one of only seven women, not including the Virgin Mary, who are commemorated by name in the Canon of the Mass. Her feast day is December 25th. Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanov, on the other hand, was the fourth and youngest daughter of Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarina Alexandra. She was born on June 18th 1901 at Peterhof Palace and was murdered along with the rest of her family in the basement of Ipatiev House in Yekaterinburg in the early hours of July 17, 1918. In the year 2000, Anastasia Romanov and her family were canonized as passion bearers by the Russian Orthdox Church. However, they were later canonized as saints, so technically, Anastasia IS a Saint, but in the Russian Orthodox Church.

Are there deserts in Anastasia?

Was Irene Craigmile really Amelia Earhart under a guise?

The C.I.A. (Then G-2 ) answer to the Girl from St.Petersburg. let us use this syloggism, I believe it is spelled right. Irene Craigmile (she has another name) is to Amelia Earhart as is Anna Anderson is to HIH Anastasia Romanov, or Nicolaievna which is more proper, actually to call Her higness ( Anastasia Romanov) is an errors as bad as referring to Queen Elizabeth II as (Betty Windsor) show some respect for the royal house! Irene is to Amelia as Anna Anderson is to Anastasia R. So Be it! Maybe not the best sign-off, sounds like, welll.

Why is Anastasia island named Anastasia island?

It had this name before the turn of the century ( the twentieth) so was probably not named in honor of the Grand Duchess of the Romanov family who was only born on June l8, l90l. Curiously, there is also an Amelia island off Florida. Isles des Femmes Perdues! ( isles of lost women!) Maybe its a code.

Is Anna Anderson Anastasia romanov?

Evidence exists for and against. after her death, her body was cremated- destroying any possibility of comparative anatomy ( Hey, she is not a fossil of a dinosaur or something) She knew too many details of life in the Romanov household to have ficitonalized them all. Methinks-Da- Girl Czarina of all the Russias- So Be it ( maybe not the best closure!) sounds like Soviet.

Who is princess anastazia?

Anastasia ( you spelled it wrong) was the youngest daughter of Czar Nicholas II and the Empress Alexandra Romanov- nee Hess. ( yes she was German on her Mother"s side) her tale is legendary, and there is evidence for and against her possible survival of the events of the Russian Revolution. Anastasia was born on June l8,l90l at the so-called Kremlin Winter Palace in St. Petersburg.

Why do fads activity become so popular?

Because they are so popular

Did they ever really find Anastasia?

OK Anna Anderson in no means was a royal family member DNA has PROVED SHE was a PEASANT FACTORY WORKER!!! The women didn't even speak Russian so how could she have been a Romanov. If you look at photos of Anastasia next to Anna their lip shape is different their noses are different. You might so oh but she was didnt know Russian anymore cause of what happened to her. Well no most likely she would have ended up mute not forgetting a language she knew from birth. DNA proved that the bodies were of Imperial Children ok. Yes it would be nice if she lived and was happy and lived old well no this is the real world ok not everything is peaches and cream.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------NO! her body or identifiable remains of HIH Anastasia Romanov were never located, though almost all of her family were. The possibility that ( Stacy left for parts unknown) as a parody on a yule song has it, may well be- (The Truth we can"t Evade!)YES! They were found in late July early August of 2007 and the DNA testing results came in (April of 2008) and said the two remains found were of 2 Romanov children___________________________________________Read the book called The Last Tsar. I think that the bones weren't the 2 missing Romanov childrens' bones. Also read about Anna Anderson. I believe she either was Anastasia or a member of the Romanov family. She knew so much about them! The bones turned out to be the remains of Anastasia's brother Alexei and Princess Maria, not Anastasia! Prince Philip gave the DNA to test them as he was related to the family.
