All Jews were to be transported to concentration camps where they were to be murdered by the Germans. they hid in order to avoid this fate. They ended up being caught and most of them died in the camps. The story of Anne Frank is not an isolated one Brave people all over Europe risked their lives hiding people in similar situations.
