Guru Tegh Bahadur was the ninth Sikh Guru. The Kashmiri Brahmans, led by Pundit Kirpa Ram, came to Guru Tegh Bahadur at Anandpur in 1675 for protection against the atrocities of Aurangzeb. The Guru was summoned to Delhi. Aurangzeb asked him to embrace Islam to which he refused. Aurangzeb imprisoned him and tortured him for many days. After some days he was brought to Chandni Chowk and was beheaded on the orders of Aurangzeb. Gurudwara Sis Ganj in Delhi stands at the place of the Guru's martyrdom and Gurdwara Rakab Ganj at the site of his cremation.

Aurangzeb was succesor of mughal dynasty. He was not popular he was "wanted". He became wanted because of his cruel policies and when he killed Guru Teg Bahadur Ji he was really realy wanted in Sikhs. His cruelty and forcing the followers of other religions to convert themselves in Muslims made him most wanted.
At the same time, Kashmiri Pandits requested Guru Teg Bahadur ji that Aurangzeb is torturing Hindus in Kashmir, converting Hindus to Muslims, killing cows, gurus and Hindus. Then Gur Teg Bahadur ji Said that if there is a great man who can save Hindus by sacrificing himself, so that Hindus are not forcefully converted into Muslims. Then Guru Gobind Singh ji said that who can be a greater great man than you in this world? And thus Guru Tegh Bahadur ji sacrificed his life to protect Kashmiri Hindus and cows!! 29 March 1676, on this day, at the age of 11, Dasmesh Pita Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji became the 10th Guru of the Sikh Panth. Instead of becoming a preacher, Guru Maharaj took up the sword, in his company thousands of people made swords companions, the abode of bliss resounded with the clang of swords. if you want to know more about Guru Gobind Singh ji you can visit sikhhitoryinfo website
