Industrialization began with the steam engine, which was needed to pump water out of flooded coal mines. It is an accident of history that Britain happened to run into this particular problem of flooding in coal mines, and came up with this particular solution. But once steam engines came into use, people started to find other uses for them as well, and industrialization was underway.
Because it invented steam power and had all the raw materials such as coal and iron to produce manufactured goods.
It also had in place a large navy to trade with the rest of the world and the first railways and a canal system to distribute the products. They discovered that it was more cost-effective and more productive to hire people (including children) to work in factories for very, very low wages.... instead of housing, feeding, and transporting slaves for the slave's entire life.

Britain was the first industrialize because they had a good Atlantic economy, they had many rivers and water ways, resources such as coal and iron, there was no tariffs in GB and they had a good Central bank. Also inventions such as the flying shuttle, spinning jenny, and the use of steam power helped in its industrialization. these inventions came about because of the cottage industry or the putting out system where individual families worked in their homes in rural areas making textiles. This was in order to avoid the restricting power of the guilds.
With an abundant supply of coal and many British controlled countries in which Britain could import essential supplies from made it possible for Britain to Industrialize.
