Britian passed the new law reffured to as the Intolerable Acts because they needed to pay the militia money. In order to do that they had to tax the colonists.

The British passed these laws in response to what they viewed as further disruption to law and commerce by the Americans. It began with the Boston Tea Party.
lots... for ex they forced colonists to quarter british soldier. taxed everything etc
Britain would tax the colonists from across the ocean for their tea, sugar, and any printed things. Some people became Patriots and wanted a war. But others who were Tories were still loyal to the king of England at the time. Also, the colonists had no representatives. So the British would pass rules and laws that the colonists had no say in.
beacause they dont have money
The Intolerable Acts (this was what the colonists dubbed it, not the official name) were very harsh and strict laws and taxes that the British passed on the colonies. These very unfair sets of laws were passed to keep colonists under the strict control over Great Britain (actually, feathering, or pouring extremely hot tar and then putting feathers on colonists, became a very common practice when the Intolerable Acts were passed by Great Britain). Hope I helped!

They passed laws to tax colonists because they needed money to pay for their growing war debt.
Britain passed the new laws because of the Boston tea party. They did this to punish the people of Boston for dumping tea in the ocean
Britain passed the Intolerable Acts in response to the Boston Tea Party, to punish the colonists and assert control over them. These laws were seen as harsh and oppressive by the colonists, as they restricted their rights and imposed penalties on Massachusetts in particular.
