Though their is no solid evidence that Casey killed her daughter,
it is believe that if she did kill her, it was because she wanted to live a responsibility free lifestyle, in which she can party and be with friends, without carrying the burden of a child.

I don't actually think there is a reason. It was an accident, there was no Duct Tape involved. Caylee accidentally drowned in a swamp.

Ms. Anthony will never tell and, since she has been found not guilty of the crime, the public may never know why she had to die. The first answer is an opinion. Opinion is all the answer you can have at this point so I will give mine.
If the child died accidentally, it was due to her mother's efforts to keep the child with her to thwart her parents' efforts to control her activities and keep Caylee under her own control. She may have wanted to have fun without her parents knowing what she did. She may have experimented with putting the child to sleep while she did what she wanted, then escalated to taping the child's mouth in case she woke up and called attention to herself. She could have died from an overdose of whatever her mother gave her to make her sleep or from suffocation from the duct tape.
If the child was deliberately killed, it may have been to permanently end her parents' control, but in my opinion, she killed her to 'keep her mouth shut'. Caylee was two, going on three. At that age children tend to say what they're thinking without editing. The time was coming that Caylee would tell that Casey never went to work or that she would leave her alone while she went out. The duct tape may have been the means of her death but the use of the tape and the fact that it wasn't removed when the child died tells me something.
Either accidental or deliberate, the tape around the mouth was the only evidence on the body that indicated foul play (other than being left in the swamp). I believe that Casey's subconscious led her to leave the tape as a way of saying 'you will never tell on me'.
