I think they replaced it with the Chevy Uplander which seems to look as much like an SUV as it does a van.
The design was dropped because it did not have a driver passenger door, the van was built on a box frame and was to ecpensive to build. Best mid size van ever,
2005 was last year
you have 3 on the astro & safari vans 4.3L
They stopped making Pontiac in 2010
I believe they are 5 on 5.5... No...that is incorrect. Ford uses the 5x5.5" "Bolt Pattern" on their 1/2 ton trucks/vans etc. The Bolt Pattern for Chevy Astro and GMC Safari Vans are 5x5". Which is the same as GM Full-Size 1/2 ton 4x2 trucks/vans and some full size (RWD) passenger cars.
They had too many different models.
GM stopped making the good old olds in 2004....
Chevy stopped making the Astrovan when angels were smoking cigarettes' on the roof tops in fishnets in the morning, with the moon still glowing. That's when Jesus came down the strip in his final addition Astrovan, under the influence of Marijuana while a man named jerry supposedly played. (Astrovan by Mt. Joy if you didn't get the reference)
No, GM has no plans to stop production of Buick. But I never thought they would Drop Oldsmobile and for sure Pontiac but they did. So, anything is possible.
The last GM Hummer H3 rolled off the assembly line on May 24 2010.
General Motors has been in the business of making trucks since 1912. They manufactured trucks, vans, military vehicles, sports utility vehicles marketed in North America and Middle East.
They weren't selling enough of them to be profitable, anymore if GM can't sell 100,000 units a year of a certain vehicle they will quit making it.
they stoped making the chevelle in 1978 because the Malibu took the chevelle name and GM is making chevelle's again in 2010 in janurary or in feburary. YAY
