The Israelites of the Exodus from Egypt could not have travelled through Philistia because the Philistines did not even begin to arrive in the Levant until 1185 BCE, whereas there is an Egyptian record of Israelites already being in the hinterland by 1205 BCE.
He lead the israelites to the promised land
According to the Bible, Joshua led the Israelites across the River Jordan.
To the Promised Land (Canaan; Israel). See also:More about Moses
Egypt in the Ancient Period controlled far less land than Egypt in the modern period. Although the Sinai is now part of Egypt, it was not at that point and God did lead the Israelites through the Sinai, but did not direct them in Nile Basin (Ancient Egypt), which the Israelites would have been familiar with and thus would have needed no direction. It is important to note that while maps of Ancient Egypt show it "controlling" the Sinai Peninsula at various points, this "control" was through indirect vassals and tributes, not through a standing infrastructural connection.
Caleb the son of Jephunneh -- Numbers 14 :38
The Bible tells us that Moses let the Israelites out of slavery and into the promised land. Before this, he was an Egyptian prince.
Joshua became the leader of the Israelites after the death of moses. he also lead the people into the promised land.
Actually moses does not put his foot in the promised land. It was Joshua who took over from Moses , who lead the people to Canaan.
It was Abraham. The father of the Israel nation.
Even though God used Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, Moses was not allowed to enter the promised land.
Initially God ruled over Israel invisibly through Moses and and the 'Older Men', and then using human Judges(Othniel to Samson). (Judges 8:23; 1Samuel 12:12) The Israelites, however, cried out for a king, to be like the nations around them, so God allowed it and chose Saul. (1Samuel 8:5-8, 19)
They banded together under a single named ruler Solomon who could lead them in battle.
