Hitler's systematic eradication of Europe's Jewish populace wasn't without his own twisted purposes: He strove to create an entire Aryan nation, what he considered to be the perfect race. Those considered 'perfect' by Hitler were of pure German blood, able-bodied, mentally sound with blonde hair and blue eyes, among other things. As a foothold for his political overthrow, Hitler blamed Germany's problems on the Jewish residents.
Anyone outside the criteria was considered a drain on society, a defect in Hitler's 'perfect race'. Since they would not be physically fit enough to serve in Hitler's army, they were put to death. Hitler's racism extended not only to the mentally ill, but to non-Caucasians, homosexuals, the elderly & the physically handicapped. Traitors, and those thought to be against Hitler's reign of Horror were also murdered.

∙ 12y agoFor several reasons. The main reason was that Hitler wanted to breed people like people breed (farm) animals - and with (farm) animals, you only keep the ones that are robust and healthy.
