Okay, first of all England didn't really own Ireland. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland (which is only a few miles from the Island of Great Britain) had been working together since the 1700's. The UK consisted of Scotland, England, and Ireland at the time. Thinking that King George was the King of the UK, and subsequentally the king of England, Scotland, and Ireland, he would want the best for his people. I mean, Ireland splitting from the UK would be like Texas and Florida splitting from the United States, or Newfoundland and Ontario splitting from Canada.
King George III did not want Thomas Jefferson dead. King George III ruled England for 59 years from 1760 to 1819.
Please clarify your question. As the king, he HAD complete power over England. Are you referring to his supression of Ireland and Scotland?
King George wanted to tax these colonies like crazy to pay for his own pleasures in England.
Tighten the economic and political control of the colonies
King George the 3rd DID want war.
England put up taxes to the colonists because King George III needed to pay off some war expenses. The colonists did not want to pay these taxes for they did not to be ruled by England anymore.
No, Steven Gerrard played for England from 2000 to 2014, never for Ireland.
the king of England
The English wanted Ireland to be under its control. Ireland didn't want to be under control.
because he don't want others to become king of the England
northern Ireland is part of the UK so just use the same prefix for calling England: 0044
England did not suppress Ireland for 800 years. This is a massaging of the historical truths for political ends. Ok then, why did England suppress Ireland for so long?I didn't find anything that would be an answer...I just want to know WHY!!?
