Though her devotion to God is commendable through the good works she did in aiding others. Like all nuns who devote their time in this way, they have failed to understand their true role in life, that of being a devoted wife to a loving husband and not a bride of Christ. Genesis 2:21-22 says And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

There is not anything in scripture which sanctions a woman not to have a husband, but to accept Christ instead. Though this union may be symbolic it is none the less contrary to God's purpose for women.

No doubt the lady in question thought that by giving up her true purpose in life and devoting it all in the service of her God, she could could serve Him better without having the worry of a husband and children.
