The scientific community is divided on this issue; 1/2 say that it was used and the other 1/2 say it was not, there are 3 land bridge theories and 4 watercraft theories. In any case none of these propose a real reason why they migrated other than the normal reasons that most hunter gatherer tribes would migrate; following food sources.

∙ 14y agoEven in a primitive society in which there are no formal borders, or land claims, or property deeds, etc., there are people who inhabit a given territory and who consider it to be theirs. If you can find some new territory in which nobody is living, it can be yours. It's free land.
