Not too long ago, I was reading a magazine and I saw that scientists had found something that could be Noah's ark on Mt. Ararat. God Bless, DWWJ316
The book of Genesis didn't indicate where Noah and his family left the ark. It just indicated that the ark settled on a mountain in the Ararat range. A popular Christian belief has tended towards the actual Mount Ararat within the Ararat range. According to the Qu'ran, the particular mountain top was Mount Judi. In between these two longstanding suggestions has been a range of possibilities in term of final resting place. But among those possibilities, Mount Horeb though considered most holy hasn't tended to number in the final pool. In fact, scholars still aren't sure exactly where this mountain of God was located.
Answer 1Genesis 8 v4And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.Mt. Ararat is in modern day Turkey.Answer 2Disregarding the question as to whether the Noah story actually took place, if Noah's Ark was made out of wood, pitch, and tar as the Bible records and it landed on Mount Ararat (in eastern Turkey near the Armenian border), it would have rotted by this point in history. Wood exposed on the top of a mountain would not last more than 100 years do to the moisture of the rain and numerous bacterias that feed on wood. It has been a few thousand years.Answer 3A team of evangelical Christian explorers claim they've found the remains of Noah's ark beneath snow and volcanic debris on Turkey's Mount Ararat.
The book of Genesis indicated that the ark had three floors, in 6:16. God told Noah to make rooms within the ark, in 6:14. But Genesis didn't identify who or what was lodged on which deck.
Many people have looked for Noah's Ark in Turkey, hoping to find any evidence that the Book of Genesis is historically true. The main focus for these searches has been Mount Ararat and, in fact, at least one person claimed to have finally found it. Subsequent, more objective, visits demonstrated that what was there was merely a geological formation that could, in the right light, look something like the bow of a ship. As long as there are religious people in the world, they will probably keep looking for Noah's Ark.
It is proof that Noah's flood does exsist, and that the Bible is true.
Some mountains are build and produced underground, so technically it would be a rock on top of a mountain underground. :)
Eagles will build their nests on ledges high up on rock faces, or in the tops of tall trees.
A stack of rocks built at the top of a mountain is called a cairn. They are often used as trail markers or symbols of accomplishment by hikers and mountaineers.
