Seth killed Osiris for a few reasons.
Nephthys took Isis's form and seduced Osiris.
She became pregnant with Anubis. Of course Seth was outraged that his wife had an affair with Osiris, considering he already hated Osiris enough. It's said that this added to the reasons he wanted to kill Osiris. Also, Osiris was the Pharaoh, and Seth was jealous. He always wanted the throne for himself.

∙ 13y agoSeth murdered Osiris by drowning him in the Nile then Isis brought him back to life, and Seth killed him again, this time chopping him into little pieces and hiding him all over the Egyptian desert. Isis brought Osiris back to life, enough to conceive Horus but then Osiris died again, this time because Isis's magic wasn't strong enough.

∙ 13y agoSeth is angry at Osiris because he's jealous of him. This happens a lot in fictional stories, like The Lion King. A king's brother is jealous of him and plots to overthrow him to gain the thrown. The same thing happened with Seth and Osiris.

There was a very fine chest and the other gods desired it, but Set said it was only for one who would fit within it, so many gods attempted it, but the chest only fitted Osiris - when he was within Set shut it and killed Osiris sending him down the Nile. Later, when Isis found the dead Osiris and left him alone to gather herbs to revive him, Set cut Osiris up into fourteen or sixteen pieces and scattered them across Egypt.
