Why did Americans end their policy of isolationism and enter World War 2?

The Japanese attacked the US Naval Fleet and Army Air Base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on December 7th, 1941 without provocation by the USA. The US Congress declared war on Japan the next day. The Americans gave up their isolationist viewpoints that day. They were further incensed when Adolf Hitler declared war against the US. They would no longer hold on to the isolationist viewpoint when their country had been threatened by two different nations.

Why did the US let the appeasement policy be justified?

The US had nothing to do with appeasement. After the horrors of World War I, the US entered a period of isolationist policy, where it mostly chose to stay out of foreign problems. Additionally, the Great Depression started in 1929 and was still on-going when appeasement started in the mid-1930s. So the US had its own problems to deal with, and had no interest in getting involved in European quarrels.

Why did the US want to remain isolationist at the beginning of World War 1?

The US wanted to remain in isolation because President Wilson thought that the European issues should stay within the European countries. Wilson figured that if the countries dealt with their own issues then a world war wouldn't happen. Unfortunately, President Wilson couldn't keep the US out of the European issues.

What does it mean to be isolationist?

An Isolationist believes in Country first. No military going to other countries to "protect" or be involved in. No government monies going to other countries head governments. Isolationists believe in a productive industry within its borders that supports employment which then produces what is needed for the country and it's citizens.
