Why did WikiAnswers say your question was harmful?
WikiAnswers probbaly said that because there some thing that is not appropiate in the Q: because maybe could have hurt someone. Or not appropiate to talk about.
Why did Wikianswers say your question was harmful please write in the discussion if you have any questions?
'How are you?' is a question identified as harmful for many reasons. Predators often start out using that question, and then get to know people on WikiAnswers, and then eventually find out where someone lives and robs or kidnaps them. It is very harmful, especially on a Q&A site such as WikiAnswers. It is mainly to protect the younger kids who do not think it is harmful.
If you come across a harmful or inappropriate question on WikiAnswers, please do message any active Supervisor or Community Assistant via their message board. Alternatively, email WikiAnswers @ Answers.com (remove spaces) and a Community Assistant will deal with the question. Finally, you can click the red "Report Abuse" button in the top-right hand corner of the question.
WikiAnswers is an On-line interactive Community where individual users can both contribute to by changing answers and report contributions that they deem harmful. An example of a harmful question could be where a derogatory remark had been made against another or maybe a Copyright or Intellectual Property had been violated, or on a more serious note that sexual offences are committed because of the content of a question. It is for this reason that WikiAnswers…
Why when you ask a question on WikiAnswers like Ken pa ichi which is a spaced-out question it says it's harmful when you go to it again?
Ask yourself. Wikianswers is supposed to be very useful and reliable, but some people say that it is useless because of people who write ridiculous answers. This is an opinion question. To me, Wikianswers is a little bit in the middle. Now it's your turn to answer this question. Do you think Wikianswers is useless?
I don't know exactly what question you're referring to, but if the question had only the word "Why?" and no other words, it would have been deleted because it is not an answerable question, since it is not a complete sentence. Why WHAT? No one would know what the question was asking about. This site exists for real questions, not just silliness. It might be silly but it's not harmful.
WikiAnswers has certain rules about what can be in a question and what cannot, such as no profanity is allowed, and certain punctuation marks, like commas, for instance, cannot be put in questions on WikiAnswers because of the way the website is formatted. See the link below to WikiAnswers style rules. If your question didn't conform to these rules, you may have gotten a message that said there was a problem with your question.
Since WikiAnswers is a Wiki, the authors of WikiAnswers are the community. Users from all over the globe contribute questions, answers, and other necessary clean-up to WikiAnswers whether registered or anonymous. In other words, there are millions of editors and authors on WikiAnswers who contribute daily. There is no single editor or author of the questions and answers on WikiAnswers; you could say that WikiAnswers is "authored" by its community of visitors. As WikiAnswers contributors…
Yes. WikiAnswers is made up of people like you and me. But it depends on who answers the question. There are some who don't give a good answer, and then there are people who truly do their best to answer a question. I would say, if someone doesn't like the answer they got, then rephrase the question and ask it again.
Contributors cannot delete questions from WikiAnswers. However, supervisors can trash questions. If you are a supervisor click on the question and in the left-hand side you should see the word "Trash" (if you see the word "Untrash" it means the question has already been trashed). Clicking on "Trash" will delete the question. If you didn't mean to trash the question, then don't worry, just click Untrash and the question will be restored. Supervisors: Questions should…
It doesn't matter what computer you are on when you are on WikiAnswers - you cannot make asked questions go away on WikiAnswers. The question you asked will stay permanently on WikiAnswers, and can only be removed by a Supervisor. If your question is innapropriate, does not have enough info to answer, etc., it will be removed from WikiAnswers. However, if it is a legitimate question, it will not be removed from WikiAnswers. Contact a…
WikiAnswers does not ask your questions for you - you must ask the question. WikiAnswers does not know what your question is, so we wait for you to post it to the community, and it will be answered from there. There is a likely chance that the question you have is already on here, but it isn't always there.
Why does wikianswers come up with the search and say it can't find my question when I want to post a new question to the site?
What it is doing is checking your question against similar ones, to see if your question was asked before. It also performs a very basic spell check, showing alternatives. If you're sure your particular question hasn't been asked, then you've got the option of adding it to wikianswers as a live question.
The limits on asking a question here basically come down to two things: Don't be harmful or insulting Don't ask how to do anything harmful or illegal Keep in mind that harmful and insulting covers deliberately coarse language, nonsense questions, and cyberbullying; harmful and illegal includes such things as plagiarism, torrenting and cyberpiracy, help with finding pornographic or age-restricted material, advice or instructions on how to break the law, etc. Why does WikiAnswers even care…
