There were many of them. Of special importance are Aztecs, Teotihuacans, Mayans and Olmecs.
the olmecs and the Aztecs were the most known tribes in Mexico
They were both indigenous peoples of Mexico and were wiped out by Spanish Conquistadors.
Central America was home to both the Aztecs and Mayans. They both also lived in South Mexico. They left several building behinds that can still be visited today.
need to know who came first before the Aztec or Mayans? FYI, Aztecs are different from Mayans. They are both civilizations that existed in Mesoamerica, but not simultaneously. The ancestors of the Mayans were thought to be the Toltecs, who eventually caused the decline of their civilization.
Both Aztecs and Mayans were the most important among them.
They lived on both the norhern and southern cotients. They lived in 5 countries... some in which where Mexico. MAny may not know this, but the ancient mayans still exist today.
Well, for starters, they are both Mexico.
It wasn't a country but a region dominated by several city-states. Some of them include Mexico-Tenochtitlan (ruled by the Aztec or Mexica civilization), Tlaxcala, Texcoco or the Mayan cities to the south.
Mayans and Aztecs are alike because they, Mayans and Aztecs, are both acient American civilizations and they both crossed Mexico in one point in time. (A/N: Sorry, there are not many similarities between the Mayans and Aztecs. I am actually trying to find out more myself. These two are the only ones I could find right off Google Search. Again, sorry for any incovinence!) -emmaleigh.:)
The Mayans and Aztecs were both native groups from Mexico. They were both widely known for their artistic and architectural accomplishments. The Mayans though had impressed many with their discoveries in math and astronomy. The Aztecs had ruled central Mexico for centuries but that came to an end in the 1521 when the conquistadors came and took over. The conquistadors also took over the Mayans but it took close to around twenty years and even then the Mayans later rebelled against the conquistadors.
Both cultures were polytheistic
