Because people killed them. Buffalo died out because the settlers came and went into their habitats. The settlers killed the buffalo for meat, bones, skin. The buffalo didn't die out only because the setlers killed them but, also because their own animals carried very bad diseases that were fatal to the buffalo. Thankfully, they didn't quite die out, and their numbers are increasing. They were delibrately slaughtered to deprive the native Americans of food. Most were left to rot. It's a sad and ugly part of America's history.
Similar teeth that an American Bison or a domestic cow would have.
The relationship is called parasitism. The cowbirds raid the other bird's nest and lay their eggs there. The other bird has to migrate to another tree to build a new nest.
The Native Americans never used the heart of the Buffalo because they believed that everything had a spirit so instead they bury the heart of the Buffalo where the animal died or where it was killed and then the spirit would bring more Buffalos.
