I was not aware that God gave us a new commandment. The Commandments in The Bible are all we need. They cover everything. If there is a new commandment out there it was thought up by a mere man and he did it for his own good. There are a lot of false prophets out there today. People that say that you have to do certain things to get to heaven. Some say thet you have to go door to door and get people to join their group. Others have to perform certain tasks in order to get to heaven. Others have to raise a certain ammount of money to gain eternal life. Jesus is the only way to heaven! No tricks or gimmicks. No list of things that you have to do. Just believe and accept Him as your savior and you will live eternally in heaven. He will take you as you are. You do not have to clean up your act first as other religions want you to do. If you will let Him into your life, He will do the cleaning. If Jesus had waited for me to straighten up before he loved me I would still be lost. New commandment? Nope sorry. Just Jesus, trust Jesus.

∙ 7y agoIn John 13:34 of the standard Christian Bible, Jesus says these words: "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." New International Version.
Jesus goes on to say in Verse 35 that the reason for instituting this new commandment is that if we love each other, the world will know we are his disciples.
He repeats this new command in John 15:12 and 17.
