King George III captured the colonists military supplies to stop them from rebelling.
King George sent troops to close the Port of Boston. He decided that the entire city of Boston should suffer for the action of a few. This changed the opinion of the people of the other 12 colonies about Boston. They had been opposed to Boston because of its refusal to act against the conspirators in the Boston Tea Party. They got together and supported Boston over King George. As a result, the other colonies sent food to Boston.
Hessians were Germans. King George also asked Catherine the Great to send Russian troops to fight with the British, but she declined.
Britain did send warships and troops to block the Boston Harbor in 1768 because King George the Third wanted the patronism to stop in Boston because there were murders breaking out such as the Boston Massacre.
