Taxes were implemented after the French-Indian War because it was only part of a greater conflict known as the Seven Year War which hurt England's economy because war is expensive. Since America at this point in history was a colony of England, it's sole purpose was to help England financially so England taxed them to help cure it's debt incurred from waging war for seven years.
The king thought that the colonies should pay for cost of having soldiers there to protect them, so he taxed them.
They were taxed to pay off the debts the British owed after the War.
Because after the war, the king had a HUGE war debt. So, to get the money back, he taxed the colonists more.
to play war debts and keep the colonies safe

King George lll was the British king during the 7 year French & Indian War, although he appointed William Pitt to do any negotiating with the French. King George's counterpart on the French throne was King Louis XV.
England didnt actually pay for the French and Indian war. King George put a tax on the thirteen colonies multiple actually, some being the stamp tax and tea tax. this angered the colonits which led them to revolt therefore causing the revolution. Which was the start of our independence
The British, French, Americans, and Native Americans. Many of the Native Americans fought with the French. The French had settled with many of the Northeastern tribes through the years as fur trappers and they had a relationship with them. The British had treated the tribes as interlopers on their own lands. Americans, like George Washington, fought under the British flag and as a British officer. In fact, it was Washington that fired the first shots of the war.
The British now controlled territories in the Ohio River Valley and they forbade the colonists to expand into these lands. The French and Indian War had been costly, and this changed the attitude of King George and Parliament about the colonists. They now believed it was time for the colonists to pay for their protection, and to enrich English coffers.
King George taxed the colonists to page of the wages of this war.
