In the July 31, 1932 election the National Socialist German Workers (Nazi) Party got 37.8% of the vote. In the next election on November 6, 1932 they got 30%+ of the vote (less than previous election).

The Nazi Party blamed the other political parties in Germany for everything that was wrong. They especially blamed the German communist party & Jews. The Nazis claimed that Germany had not actually lost the First World War, but had instead been 'stabbed in the back' by German communists & Jews. Many Germans were rightfully afraid of the threat of communism inside Germany and from the communist Soviet Union. Also most Germans agreed with Hitler that Germany had not lost the First World War, based on how that war ended. See more information about the roles of Hindenburg & Lundendorff. Hitler said he was going to make Germany strong again and defeat the Jews & communists.
