There are MANY reasons for this.
The most common are:
1. They might've been fighting over a mate, and the (killing) hamster felt threatened by her sister and killed her.
2. The first hamster was pregnant, and so killed her sister so she could eat her and get the plentiful nutrients in her sister's body (this is also why hamsters eat their own waste -- it has lots of nutrients in it).
3. Your first hamster got an illness, a psychological disease, which caused her to go crazy and kill her female sister (and eat her).
Yes. All in all, it is very gruesome.
of course not. by estherbella.
no it will eat its babys
Rats are a predatory species, they can and will kill and eat a hamster.
If you get anotherfemale hamster the mother of the hammy they with fight and the female hamster will eat the baby hamster.! If you don't know if you have a female or male go to animal doctor and they will tell you if they female or male?
no if a hamster eats papaer it could kill it or make it very sick
depending if it was a baby they can eat their own poo.
Do not put the male around the female! Some male hamsters eat the babies, I'm not kidding.
No, it's likely to kill and eat it.
If they are Syrians then the big one might eat the little or kill him or her or if it's a dwarf it may take care of it or kill him or her if they are males then they have a might have a higher change of killing him or her if it's a female then they have a lower change of killing him or her, oh there is so much killing😭, I hope this helps good luck
well usually when you have a pregnant hamster housed with a male hamster, the female will fight him visously until death. However once her babies are born, the male will eat them! So after you mate them, separate the 2 immediatly.
The hamster, having more mass than a regular hamster, is ripe for the harvest. Eat it.
Yes, you do have to separate them. Or else, the male will eat the babies once they are born.
