Native people's of the America's had logical reasons attacking settler's and their assets. The first involved self-defense against whom they viewed as foreign invaders. The second was over competition for economic and Natural Resources that the settlers placed downward pressures against. Lastly, many natives were politically deceived through treaties and contracts that were not honored. This destroyed the chances for compromise and peaceful coexistence by creating mistrust and conflict.
