∙ 8y agoThe San Francisco area was the home for several Native American tribes because it has a number of Natural Resources. Not only is there a natural bay, but the mountains that surround it have acorn trees, plenty of animals, water sources, rivers that went inland, and fairly good weather. The first Europeans to settle there were the Spainsh and the natural harbor made it the perfect spot to settle.
