There were no clear strategic goals and objectives for the war, and we were not using the right tactical approach in response to the skills of the north. Casualties were mounting, and the north probably knew that this would ultimately hasten the end of the war by eroding the support of the US people. Seriously adding to the erosion of support there was regular coverage of the war on television through the brave efforts of reporters who accompanied troups right to the front lines. Nightly, we witnessed the carnage that was taking place there.
Most (not all) of them were protesting the military draft under the disguise of "the war was wrong." Another words, if they weren't being conscripted to fight it, they wouldn't have made such a big deal out of it. It is "far more" acceptable to people when they hear, "the war is wrong, we're protesting it'", than to hear , "I'm scared of being drafted into the military so I'm protesting." No one likes cowards (not even cowards like cowards), so it's..."the war is wrong" the effect is the same, if it ends, THEY DON'T GET DRAFTED.
How many college campuses do you hear about having mass riots (with riot police and troops), destroyed ROTC buildings, over-turned cars, mass beatings of protesters (with night sticks, high pressure water hoses, and CS riot gas), clogged streets and National Monuments filled with rioters and protesters from today's military conflicts...very few or none at all. Because NO ONE's being conscripted to fight them! All fighting is done by the VOLUNTEER military.
The all volunteer military was created because of the Vietnam War.
They were tired of being drafted.
Before the American used to think with their technology and firepower, they would protect the world from the communist. The Vietnam war proved that they were wrong.
Korean War. The 17th parallel was Vietnam.
If you mean Bien Hoa province, yes. no your wrong the battle of kienhoa province was during the Vietnam war.
Wrong war. WW2 Axis was Germany, Japan, and Italy.
The war was wrong. It never was a war, but a police action and men were drafted to fight in an illegal undeclared war.

Radical protestors during the Vietnam era often burned their draft cards. American involvement in Vietnam began in 1955, and the war ended in 1975 during the presidency of Gerald Ford.
i think france doesn't have to do anything with the vietnam war

I thought a seawratchen was a boxed meal that the soldiers would use during the Vietnam War. I think that the term is spelt wrong though.
the war and the outcome of the Vietnam war ^ Who answered this question? He answered the wrong question which didn't even make sense omfg.
Those must've been post Viet War; "Sit-Ins" were popular back then. Instead of rioting and getting clubbed...the protestors decided on trying "non-violent methods."
Part of history.
