The last significant battle in the War of Roses was the Battle at Bosworth Field. The Lord Protector and pretender, Richard III, was racked by accusations of murdering his wife and the strange disappearance of his two young nephews and heirs to the throne made him vulnerable. Henry Tudor saw the weakness and as a Lancaster descendent, invaded England. Henryâ??s victory at Bosworth led the way to him becoming Englandâ??s first Tudor king.
