Original Answer(Just so you guys can see): Middle Kingdom My answer: Though many people may think that china's nickname is middle kingdom, I would strongly disagree. Though the name literally translates to middle kingdom (Zhong(中) -> Middle, Guo(国)-> Kingdom, for a total of Zhong Guo(中国), which is China), Nobody nicknames china like that. They call what is literally called middle kingdom in chinese, china. However, there are a few nicknames for china that stand for their national pride. They are as such: 华夏 (pronounced Hua Xia) and 神州 (Pronounced Sheng Zhou) which can mean divine, or if broken up Godly States (or provinces since it is china). Feel free to add more nicknames!! I hope that I have not confuse any of you guys :) -Jason (I am Chinese by the way!)
