Because they believed that they would offend the gods if they did not face east
It's important because the ancient Egyptians can't bury the people under sand because when it ever rains it will unbury the person so they made pyramids to store mummies or other things in the pyramids
The Egyptians did not have a sky god, they had the sky goddess Nut.
As tombs for the Pharaohs so that he could join the gods in the night sky. The ancient Egyptians believed that their king was an incarnation of the sun god who must be appeased. By building a pyramid the Pharaoh was ensuring prosperity for the Egyptians.
yes. this may sound crazy but trust me there is a lot of evidence that would point to this conclusion; the ancients were not capable of building such great monuments, even current technology could not reproduce them with the accuracy with which they were built. there is also no hieroglyphs anywhere on the pyramid, and Egyptians put hieroglyphs EVERYWHERE. the current theory about how and why the pyramids were constructed is not logical. supposedly the pyramids were built as tombs, but if that were so you would expect to find a mummy or something inside right? no such thing was ever found an any pyramid. also the pyramids they say had to be built in 20 years, so if you do the math for that the Egyptians would have had to place a block approximatley every 5 seconds. the final proof is simply that they said that they didn't build them, but that the "sun gods" came down from the sky and built them. for more information: Nassim Haramein on youtube
The eyptian built the pyramids because the kings (pharoahs) wanted to show everyone how great they were. The peak (top) of the pyramid was meant to be the "stariway to heaven". This was usually the tomb of the pharoah. He would put all the belonging he would need for the atferlife. They even put ships to lead the to heaven in there!
Pyramids are tombs. The egyptians wanted the pharaoh to have a good after life. That's why the four walls point to the sky.
well as you probably know the pyramids point toward the sky. This indicates that the egyptians knew there was stuff up there.

In a way yes because heaven is up
well my name is jaylon, and jay vahisht thinks it points towards the sky!
They built the pyramids themselves as tombs to their Pharaohs. If you looked at all the pyramids from a birds eye view, (from the sky) you would see that they positioned the pyramids just right so that they would chart the sun.

Firstly, the pyramids are not shaped like a triangle, they are in the form of the "pyramid shape" because they are 3-dimensional. Secondly, the shape of Egyptian pyramids is thought to represent the primordial mound from which the Egyptians believed the earth was created. The shape is also thought to be representative of the descending rays of the sun, and most pyramids were faced with polished, highly reflective white limestone, in order to give them a brilliant appearance when viewed from a distance. The Egyptians believed the dark area of the night sky around which the stars appear to revolve was the physical gateway into the heavens. One of the narrow shafts that extends from the main burial chamber through the entire body of the Great Pyramid points directly towards the center of this part of the sky. This suggests the pyramid may have been designed to serve as a means to magically launch the deceased pharaoh's soul directly into the abode of the gods.
Shu and Nut are both sky deities.
yes and no. When you point it at a wall, it ends there. When you point it towards the sky then it doesn't end. You just cant see it go all the way.
