they chose the area in which they settled in because they wanted somewhere they can be open to good resources and they also thought by settling there they were going to have much more power and so they can earn more respect.....

Cause they had hope for a bether life also known of (the American dream). It were lands there that wornt toucht and grrerat for the farmers so everyone got rich on this.

Land was a form of wealth in those days. Colonists settled to own land, distance themselves from the monarchy, and to establish towns where they had more religious freedom.
