The Iran-Iraq War became internationally significant because various countries (especially the United States) used the conflict as a proxy war. As a result, they funneled weapons and money to whichever side most represented their interests or whichever side was lambasting the interests of their wider opponent. A second major reason was that the Iran-Iraq War halted or minimized the quantity to petroleum leaving the Middle East and thus imperiled many Western economies.

WW II became a global war because it was started by nations that had global ambitions; if you try to take over the whole world, you will have a global war.
It is in the nature of a global war that you have to fight the enemy wherever they may be. If the Third Reich had been allowed to take over North Africa, they would have had additional resources available for the war in general. All territory has military significance.
Significant for Great Britain, the war was not global yet as the US was not in it; and Germany would not invade Britain since they did not control the air.
The revolution was NOT a global war.
There was no significance. The 38th Parallel was ignored through out the war.
It never was a global conflict.
It never was a global conflict.
It never was a global conflict.

The Holocaust did not take place during WW 1, it was during WW 2.
