There are many reasons why. First , It happened because Governor James Stirling had a colony called The Swan Settlement and Pinjarra more fertile land than the one in Swan Settlement. Also he wanted revenge of the death of Nesbitt which was killed by one of the Aborigines from the Pinjarra Tribe ( Binjareb Tribe)

∙ 12y agoThe east half of South Africa gets a fair bit of rain due to the warm Mozambique current, especially during the summer time. The Western side (except for the coast) is often very dry and farmers in that area often have it rough. Namibia and the Kalahari (north of SA) Are desert-like hot and the Kalahari - being very central and far from the ocean - gets almost no rain at all.
But Southern Eastern Africa (Durban, Mozambique) get substantial quantities of rain during the summer.
