Differs in political beliefs were arguably the main factor. There are many different theories and explanations to answer this question, I would suggest reading John Lewis Gaddis' 'Cold War' book. The effects of WW11 visited heavily on the USSR. The US was kind of seen as a visitor to the war, one that never suffer first hand effects. The US never fully trusted the USSR after it sign a treaty with the Germans.
It was mainly politicial beleifs; the USSR was communist, the USA was a Democracy. Also, after WWII, Stalin wanted reperations from Germany while the US and Britain focused on helping Germany recover. The Democratic powers were also worried because large areas of Eastern Europe were falling unded Soviet control. Also History plays in; the US had tried to destroy the Russian Revolution in 1918, and Britain and the US could not forget that the USSR had signed the Nazi-Soviet pact in 1939. Also, it was just the diversity between the two countries; both thought they were right, both side saw each event differently, and that just made them hate each other even more.
No one really- the USSR just fell apart

The US and the USSR faced each other in the Cold War.
Yes because Hitler betrayed his former allies and troops committed atrocities during invasion. The US allowed USSR into Berlin first to take advantage of their anti-German sentiment
In World War II, they didn't fight against each other, they were on the same side.
Both the US & USSR begin with letters US. Both the US & USSR used a star on all of their war machines (Ships, Tanks, Aircraft, Trucks, Artillery, etc.). Both the US & USSR extended from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean. Both the US & USSR had sub-states within it. Both the US & USSR had minority populations of people & cultures. Both the US & USSR had fairly matched technologies. Both the US & USSR were spawned from revolutions (1776) & (1917) respectively. Both the US & USSR had frontier expansions: The US went West; the USSR went East.
Brazil's relationship with the United States is horrible, they hate each other
As a Samoan, I do not hate Tongans. We all have our likes and dislikes in each other, but we don't "hate" each other, and when I say "each other", I mean Samoan to Samoan, Samon to Tongan, Samoan to palagi, Tongan to Tongan, English to English, and so forth. "Hate" is a strong ugly word. We are all children of God, and the less hate in the world, the better chance of us all getting along in a peaceful world. God bless Tongans, Samoans and all other ethnic groups.
Germany, North Korea and China.
yes it was it was mostly America and the ussr trying to scar each other with building arsanals and large armys
The leaders of both nations (The US and the USSR) sent immediate messages to each other and reached an agreement that the USSR would take the missiles out of cuba, if the US promised to not attack Cuba, and also for the US to remove its missiles from Turkey after a few months.
