also, they did not disappear. they just were forced to learn spanish and are the modern day Mexicans

∙ 12y agoThere are several reasons why this ancient civilization dissapeared. Like a balloon, the mayans rose powerfull and than popped (Fell). Aztecs discovered their mighty citys empty. Many people believe that they left because of the myth of the great tree, or a powerful earth quake. All we know is they are now diminished tribes and clans in the Amazon river valley's vast jungles...
