Shouldn't this be obvious? : Because the ANZACs were invading their country. The ANZAC troops, along with other Allied soldiers, landed in the Dardanelles Straits to capture this strategic sea passage. The Ottoman (Turkish) Army had been preparing for such a move for a long time, and the ANZAC suffered a very large number of casualties.
Even they didnt know it, how can anyone know?
In WW1 , ANZAC forces during the Gallipoli Campaign sought to control the Dardanelles and influence the war ~ see the related links below .
Australia and New Zealand were part of the British Commonwealth, which was one of the Allies in World War I. The Ottoman Empire was one of the Central Powers. Those facts naturally brought the ANZACs into conflict with Turks. The ANZACs were specifically sent to the Turkish front in Gallipoli so that British soldiers could focus on the Western Front which was closer to London and made maintenance much easier. Giving the command of the Turkish front over to foreign regiments was much easier to justify.
Turks migrated to Europe beacause...
The Gallipoli landing began on 25 April 1915.
they were a tribe from the tartars
in the mirror ;D
There was no victory for the ANZACs in Turkey. Sadly, the entire Gallipoli campaign was a failure for everyone but the Turks.
not the anzacs
Well the turks where watching turkeys and suddenly a bunch of long-cocked aussies started storming the beach, was by chance. I also need to empty my bowels. LALALALALA>
Hot. And, by the way, the fight was between the Anzacs and the Turks AT Gallipolli.
the turks and the anzacs look it up !
They were slaughtered as soon as they hit shore line by turks.
The ANZACs were on the winning side, so they did not lose the war. The attack on Gallipoli failed, but it was absolutely no fault of the ANZACs.
The Turks from the Ottoman Empire (now called Turkey). Nicknames you might hear for the Turks include: - Jacko. - Johnno. - Johnny. - The "Sick Man".
They hoped to achieve the war between them and the Turks. Unfortunately they did fail to do so. The Turks stopped them by shooting them at a better advantage as they were on higher ground.

The evacuation from Gallipoli was carried out in complete secret, and the Turkish soldiers had absolutely no idea that the ANZACs had departed. This was quite different to the landing, when the Turks knew the ANZACs were coming, and were ready for them.
Prior to the attack on Galipolli, the ANZACs trained in Egypt.
