I'm not sure where abouts your asking, but the Americans dropped "fat man" and "little boy" to try and end the second world war. It was the first, and last use of an atomic bomb on actual human beings.
Point of disagreement between people. Some felt that Japan would have surrendered anyway, others believed that they would not, and invading Japan would result in about 1 million servicemen being killed. The President had to make a decision based on the best information that he had at that time.
"Any weapon that would bring an end to the war and save a million casualties among American boys were justified, and we were talking about people who hadn't hesitated at pearl Harbour to make a sneak attack destroying not only ships but the lives of American sailors."
James Byrnes, US secretary of in 1945.
"The atom bomb was no great decision. It was merely another powerful weapon in the arsenal of righteousness. The dropping of the bombs stopped the war and saved millions of lives."
President Harry Truman.
" The Allies would be faced with the enormous task of Destroying a force of five million men and 5000 suicide aircraft, belonging to a race which would fight to the death."
US Secretary for War Henry Stimson.
because back then in the south their was a lot of rasisiom and they didnt like the blacks that were there this is by makayla r. Jones in eldorado Arkansas
Because it was released from an aircraft and as the bomb was heavier than air it fell under gravity.
To end the war and collapse Japans means to make war again.
