- He discusses nuances of Jewish festivals (Sukkot in John 7 and the Dedication in John 10:22-29) as well as discussing customs and symbolism.
- References and Allusions to the Old Testament, such as John 10 to Ezekiel 34.
- Jesus debating in typical Rabbinical style (John 5:31-47).
Of course, most scholarship continues to argue that the Gospel of Matthew was more designed for a Jewish audience.
